Ruth Eckerd Hall is committed to providing an accessible building and pleasurable performance experience to every member of our audience and staff at each venue.
Ramp access is available at each gate when visiting The BayCare Sound.
Accessible Parking & Entry
Ruth Eckerd Hall: There are designated drop-off points at each entrance for easy access to the lobbies as well as clearly marked free accessible parking spaces. For additional assistance, please ask a parking lot attendant for direction.
Accessible parking spaces are located around the facility on a first come - first served basis. They are clearly marked; for additional assistance, please ask a parking lot attendant for directions. Overflow-accessible parking is available. There are designated drop-off points at each entrance for easy access to the lobbies.
General parking is free and valet is available for most events starting at $20. Patrons are welcome to use valet service when available at 50% off by presenting their disabled parking permit.
Nancy & David Bilheimer Capitol Theatre: There are designated drop-off points at the main entrance for easy access to the lobby. Parking is available, free of charge at the City Hall parking lot and all City street parking lots. Street parking in downtown Clearwater is available after 6pm on weekdays and all day on weekends. Valet Service is suspended at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience.
The BayCare Sound: For wheelchair accessible patron drop off and pickup, guests can use the Cleveland Street Extension at the bottom of Cleveland Street and Osceola Avenue for closest access to South Gate 2 entrance or drop off in the Clearwater Main Library parking lot on Osceola Avenue (event permitting) for closest access to South Gate 1, the Ticket Trailer and lawn seating areas. Elevators
Elevators are available at the ground level accessing the Ruth Eckerd Hall upper lobbies, the Margarete Heye Great Room, the Dimmitt Atrium Lounge, the Hoffman Dress Circle Lounge and the Marcia P. Hoffman School of the Arts. The Bilheimer Capitol Theatre elevator is located on the west side of the building.
Hearing Assistance System
Ruth Eckerd Hall and The Nancy & David Bilheimer Capitol Theatre: Patrons with a hearing disability may enjoy the use of our state-of-the-art infrared Assistive Listening Device system free of charge. Listeners use a compact, portable receiver and earphones to hear clearly and easily from anywhere in the seating area. Please note, you will need to leave a driver's license or a credit card until the listening device is returned. Please speak to a Head Usher to request an Assistive Listening Device.
The BayCare Sound: Assisted Listening Instructions will be available. Please see a guest services team member for assistance.

- Access the channel of your choice.

Restrooms
Accessible restrooms are located near all event spaces, classrooms and administrative offices.
Family style and accessible restrooms and available at The BayCare Sound near South Gate 2 and North Gate 1.
Seat Accommodations
Special accommodations (ie. aisle seats, ramp access, space for a service dog, etc.) should be requested at time of purchase. Wheelchair locations with companion seats are available for all performances. Limited availability. It's recommended to place your order early. For order assistance, don't hesitate to contact the ticket office directly.
Service Animals
Only service animals are permitted at all venues. Service animals must be harnessed, leashed or always tethered, unless special circumstances exist, and will be required to rest in the seating area of the individual with a disability, rather than in the aisle.
A guest whose service animal poses a threat to the safety of other guests and employees, or whose animal is not housebroken, may be be asked to escort the animal off the premises. Special accommodations, (i.e. aisle seats, ramp access, space for a service dog, etc.) should be requested at the time of purchase.

Sign Language Interpretation
If you require a sign language interpreter, please submit a written request to Patron Services at least three (3) weeks prior to the event date.
