Burton Cummings
of the original ‘The Guess Who’ – 60th Anniversary The Hits tour with special guest Jim Messina
Join Burton Cummings, the unmistakable voice of the original The Guess Who and his band when they stop at Ruth Eckerd Hall on the 60th Anniversary Hits Tour with special guest Jim Messina! Playing his songs from The Guess Who and solo career, hear such hits as American Woman and These Eyes, as well as Stand Tall and My Own Way to Rock. Few artists have achieved the level of public success and critical acclaim that Burton Cummings enjoys in a career spanning more than sixty years. As the voice of the classic Guess Who’s hits before the band broke up in 1975, to then go on and make his mark as a solo artist, Burton Cummings remains at the top of his game as an unrivaled singer, songwriter, showman, and recording artist.
An undisputed expert in the fine art of making hit music, Jim Messina’s legacy of musical genius spans five decades, three super groups (Buffalo Springfield, Poco, and Loggins & Messina), a vibrant solo career and scores of producing and engineering credits. Loggins & Messina released eight hit albums, had scores of hit songs (Danny's Song, House at Pooh Corner, Your Mama Don't Dance), sold over 16 million albums and became one of rock’s most successful recording duos ever. After a series of celebrated solo acoustic tours, Messina formed a band made of acclaimed musicians who have played with him at various points in his career.
