Forever Plaid
The Marcia P. Hoffman School of the Arts at Ruth Eckerd Hall presents the award-winning musical Forever Plaid performed by the school’s alumni students and directed by Marcia P. Hoffman School of the Arts Drama Department Chair Jack Holloway with musical direction by Music Department Chair Yohance Wicks.
In Forever Plaid, four young singers, Sparky, Smudge, Jinx and Frankie, posthumously take the stage for one final gig in this charming musical trip through the beloved music of the 1950s. Singing in close harmony, squabbling boyishly over the smallest intonations and executing their charmingly outlandish choreography with overzealous precision, the "Plaids" are a guaranteed smash, with a program of beloved songs and delightful patter that keeps audiences rolling in the aisles when they're not humming along to some of the great nostalgic pop hits of the 1950s.
In the Marcia P. Hoffman School of the Art’s production of Forever Plaid, Jake Tottle will play Frankie, Steffen Robinson will play Smudge, Alex Gault will play Sparky and Jason Calzon will play Jinx. All actors are alumni of the Marcia P. Hoffman School of the Arts and have returned to perform on the Murray Theatre stage.
$10 tickets for students and military are available with photo ID at The Raymond James Central Ticket Office at Ruth Eckerd Hall.
