Raymond James Presents: Middle School Arts

The Marcia P. Hoffman School of the Arts at Ruth Eckerd Hall recently commissioned an original production to reflect the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in a new and unique way customized for 6th through 8th grade audiences – a segment of students with highly specific social and emotional learning challenges in comparison to both elementary school-aged children and high schoolers. Working with our colleagues at REVolutions Dance, an inclusive mixed-ability dance company composed of professionally trained as well as amateur dancers from the United States and around the world, an engaging interactive performance was created that recognizes and respects our differences while celebrating our similarities. It is, in a word, breathtaking.

Championing this initiative is a global financial services company with a firm belief in the power of the arts, a passion for middle school students, in particular, and a commitment to their success. Their generous support has resulted in our newly named division of educational programming, Raymond James Presents: Middle School Arts.  The support of Raymond James has already impacted over 2,300 local students and educators, to date, and serves as an example of what is possible when we join forces. We thank them for reminding us what the POWER of PARTNERSHIP can accomplish.
