Alcohol

Bars are conveniently located and offer mixed drinks, wine and a variety of beers for purchase. Patrons must be at least 21 years of age with a valid ID to purchase alcohol. No alcohol may be brought onto or taken off property.

Animals

Only service animals are permitted at all venues. Service animals must be harnessed, leashed or always tethered, unless special circumstances exist, and will be required to rest in the seating area of the individual with a disability, rather than in the aisle. A guest whose service animal poses a threat to the safety of other guests and employees, or whose animal is not housebroken, may be be asked to escort the animal off the premises. Special accommodations, (i.e. aisle seats, ramp access, space for a service dog, etc.) should be requested at the time of purchase. Wheelchair locations with companion seats are available for all performances. Availability is limited. Please order early. 

Artist Experiences & VIP Packages

Many of our performances offer VIP, meet and greet and custom VIP packages that are available for purchase on their website. Unless the package specifically includes a seat at the show, a separate ticket to the show is required for entry to our venues and to attend all VIP experiences. Artist packages may not be refunded or exchanged and are non-transferable. For more information, please contact our ticket office.   

Bag Policy

Bags will be screened at all venues and are subject to search. Bags must fit under your seat and not take up a seat or cause obstruction. Diaper Bags for accompanied families with small children and bags with required medical items are permitted. 

The BayCare Sound: The only permitted bags are clear bags not to exceed 12” x 6” x 12” OR small clutch bags (4.5" x 6.5" - roughly the size of an index card) that can fit in your pocket. No other bags of any type will be allowed.

The BayCare Sound allows small blankets and beach towels but may not exceed 30" x 60". 

Camera Policy

POLICY SUBJECT TO TOUR PROTOCOLS - Unless otherwise prohibited by artist, cellular phone cameras, disposable cameras and small digital cameras are permitted for personal, non-professional use. Any camera with a detachable lens will be considered professional and not permitted into the venue. Likewise, the use of flash photography, videography and recording equipment is prohibited. Please comply with instructions of venue personnel and pre-concert announcements.

Camping

Camping and overnight parking of any kind is not permitted at all venues.

Cancellation, Postponement & Delays

Events proceed rain or shine. Public safety and weather announcements are monitored for potential hazards. In the event of a cancellation or postponement (excluding same-day delays), refunds can be made through the ticket office. Line-ups may be subject to change at the discretion of the artist or Ruth Eckerd Hall, Inc.

Credit Cards/Debit Cards

Ruth Eckerd Hall and The Bilheimer Capitol Theatre: All major credit cards are accepted at our concession stands and bars. For cash-only purchases, ATMs are located in the lobby.

The BayCare Sound: The venue is cashless. All points of sale will only accept payment via all major credit cards. Reverse ATMs/Cash-to-card machines are located nearby and allow you to deposit cash and dispense a charge card to be utilized on-site and can also be accepted anywhere that takes Visa/MasterCard.

Children

Each person, REGARDLESS OF AGE, must have a ticket for admission. For performances geared to young audiences and when permitted by the artist, a complimentary lap pass will be issued upon request for children under 1 year of age (limit: 1 per paying adult). For your comfort and that of other audience members, we suggest discretion when bringing children to performances not specifically intended for young audiences. Disruptive parties will be asked to leave at the venue's discretion. The venue reserves the right to issue parental advisories or set a minimum age requirement for entry.

Dress Code

Guests must be properly attired, which means wearing tops and bottoms with sufficient coverage. Shirtless, bathing suits, sheer clothing are considered inappropriate. Shoes must be worn at all times. Guests may be prohibited from entering or remaining in the venue, if at management discretion, clothing is considered obscene, indecent, and/or inappropriate.

Elevators

The elevators at Ruth Eckerd Hall provide access to upper lobbies, the Margarete Heye Great Room, the Dimmitt Lounge, the Hoffman Family Dress Circle and the Marcia P. Hoffman School of the Arts.

The Bilheimer Capitol Theatre elevator is located near the main lobby on the west side of the building, providing access to the Dress Circle Lounge, Loge Boxes, The Hideaway Bar, Frenchy’s Rooftop Terrace Lounge and seating in the Mezzanine. 

The BayCare Sound elevator provides access to the rooftop terrace in the event space.

Entrances

Ruth Eckerd Hall features two entrances: The Grand Lobby Entrance on the West side of the venue and The England Family Music Garden Entrance on the East side of the venue.  

The Bilheimer Capitol Theatre features one entrance at the front of the building, facing Cleveland Street. 

The BayCare Sound features four entrances: South Gates are located inside Coachman Park and North Gates are located on Drew Street.

Food & Beverage

A variety of food and beverage options are available for purchase at the concession stands and bars. Food and beverages are permitted inside the auditorium unless restricted by the performer. No outside food or beverages may be brought on the premises at all venues. 

General Admission

If your ticket is marked as General Admission or GA this means that your ticket is located in a section of the venue that is first come, first serve and has no assigned seat. 

  • GA Pit Tickets: Standing room only
  • GA Lawn Tickets: Chairs are not permitted, but blankets no larger than 30" x 60" are permitted
  • GA Seated: First come, first served and has no assigned seat 

Group Tickets

A group consists of 15 or more tickets in the same order. Ask us about our Corporate Group Program for your Company and Group Sales for your organization. Guest Conduct

Guests are expected to behave respectfully and in accordance with venue policy, state and local laws. Any guest that is acting in a manner that venue management deems unsafe can be subject to eviction. Public safety officals are present at all events.

Tickets are a revocable license, subject to termination with denial of admission of removal from the property at management discretion, upon refund of the purchase price. Guests are subject to ejection, without compensation, should the holder act in a disorderly, threatening or intoxicated manner. 

Health Protocols

The health and safety of our staff and guests is top priority. Our indoor venues are equipped with a commercial grade HVAC-PHI Air Purification System that helps eliminate viruses, mold, bacteria, smoke and air pollutants, reducing risk of airborne illness. We follow strict sanitization protocols including the application of Nisus DSV disinfectant, EPA-approved to protect against many viruses and bacteria. Persons with suspected illness or recently exposed to contagious disease should not attend. While we are committed to providing a clean environment, those entering our property assume the risk of exposure, injury and illness and release Ruth Eckerd Hall, Inc. and the City of Clearwater of all liability.

Helmets

Helmets are not allowed inside so please plan to lock it with your bike/cycle.

Mobile Friendly Ticketing

1. Tickets for your event are delivered to the purchasers email address provided at time of purchase.

2. Please check to see that you received the MOBILE FRIENDLY PDF attachment with barcode before arriving to the venue (Your confirmation email is NOT your ticket). 

3. At the gate, please have the PDF open and the brightness on your mobile screen turned up.

4. If you have not received your Mobile Friendly Ticket, please contact the Ruth Eckerd Hall Ticket Office at 727-791-7400. 

Parking

Ruth Eckerd Hall: FREE and convenient self-parking is available onsite. Valet parking is available at most events for an additional cost. Drop-off points and ADA parking are available at both entrances for easy access on a first-come, first-served basis. Patrons are welcome to use valet service when available at 50% off by presenting their ADA accessible parking permit. Rideshare drop off and pick up location is located between the two building entrances.

Nancy & David Bilheimer Capitol Theatre: Public parking is available throughout the downtown district. Please view The City of Clearwater's Downtown Parking Map for the most up-to-date parking availability. We strongly encourage carpooling, rideshare or taxi service, and public transporation. Ferry and trolley services are also available and serve downtown Clearwater. Hours vary. Please refer to their websites for schedules and more information.

The BayCare Sound: Public parking is available throughout the downtown district. Please view The City of Clearwater's Downtown Parking Map for the most up-to-date parking availability. We strongly encourage carpooling, rideshare and public transporation. 

Murray Theatre: FREE and convenient self-parking is available onsite. There is a designated drop off with easy access to the lobby as well as clearly marked free ADA accessible parking spaces. Valet service may be available at select events. Rideshare drop off and pick up is located near the main entrance.

Prohibited Items

The safety of staff and patrons is a priorty and at the forefront of operational policies and procedures. Screening for prohibited items is mandatory before entering a venue.

Prohibited Items include

  • Illegal drugs 

  • Weapons of any kind, including mace  

  • Pocket knives 

  • Coolers of any kind

  • Lawn chairs of any kind

  • Umbrellas

  • Backpacks, luggage, totes or other bags exceeding the maximum requirements

  • Outside food and beverages

  • Aerosols (e.g. Sunscreen, hairspray)

  • Personal property that is a potential hazard to others (e.g. chains, wallet chains, or jewelry with spike edges) 

  • Fireworks 

  • GoPro cameras 

  • Tripods, monopods, selfie-sticks 

  • Lasers, air horns, noise makers 

  • Confetti, glitter and other items that can be thrown

  • Audio/video recording devices 

  • Remote controlled flying devices

  • Props or toys that resemble weapons 

  • Unauthorized vending of any kind 

  • Unauthorized solicitations, handbills, sampling, giveaways, etc. 

  • Other items at the discretion of security

Re-entry Policy

Re-entry is not permitted in the venues unless otherwise instructed by venue management. If you do leave at any point during the event, you will not be allowed back into the venue.

Refund Policy

There are NO refunds unless a performance is cancelled or rescheduled. In the event that a performance is postponed or cancelled, tickets purchased through Ruth Eckerd Hall may be refunded or exchanged for another performance through the ticket office. The venue is not responsible for tickets purchased through a third party or secondary market.  Please note: If you purchase through a third party, there will be no record of purchase nor means to notify you of changes. You purchase at your own risk. For rescheduled events, Ruth Eckerd Hall, Inc. has the right to designate an appropriate deadline for the return of tickets. Refunds will ONLY be issued back to the credit card on which the purchase was charged. Unless the event is cancelled or postponed, artist packages are non-transferable and returns or exchanges are not permitted.

Restrooms

Restrooms are easily accessible at all venues. Accessible restrooms are located near all event spaces, classrooms and administrative offices. 

Rideshare

All venues have a designated rideshare drop off and pick up locations for patrons who are using ridesharing apps. We recommend scheduling ride requests ahead of time. 

Safety & Security

The safety of staff and patrons is a priority and at the forefront of operational policies and procedures. Screening for prohibited items is mandatory before entering a venue. Professionally trained security staff are on-site at all events. For a complete list of prohibited items, please view the Prohibited Items listed above. All venues have a zero-tolerance policy for harrassment. Please let event staff know if you feel harassed or threatened in any way.

Scalping & Reselling Tickets

You may not resell or distribute tickets for any commercial purpose. The resale of Ruth Eckerd Hall tickets in excess of $1 above admission price violates Florida Statute 817.36.

Please be cautious when purchasing tickets online and make sure the internet address begins “secure.rutheckerdhall.com” when entering your credit card information as there are many third-party resellers. Tickets purchased from an unauthorized source may be lost, stolen, counterfeit or in violation of resale policies and if so, are VOID. We strongly discourage purchasing from other websites.

Service Fees

Service fees vary by ticket price and venue. Revenue collected from service fees covers overhead costs of the facilities. Please note: All tickets for events at The BayCare Sound include a City of Clearwater surcharge.

Smoking & Vaping Policy

Smoking and vaping are prohibited at The BayCare Sound and inside all venues.

Strollers

Ruth Eckerd Hall, The Bilheimer Capitol Theatre and The Murray Theatre: Strollers are permitted on-site and will be stored in a designated area throughout the duration of the performance. 

The BayCare Sound: For safety and security reasons, strollers are not permitted on-site. Strollers cannot be stored on the premises.

  • Tickets for all performances are available online at RuthEckerdHall.com  

  • The Raymond James Central Ticket Office at Ruth Eckerd Hall is open Tuesday-Thursday & Saturday from 12pm-6pm, Friday 10am-6pm. The Ticket office is closed Sunday and Monday, unless there is a performance. The Ticket Office opens 2 hours before showtime. To purchase tickets by phone call 727-791-7400

  • The Bilheimer Capitol Theatre and The BayCare Sound Ticket Office are only open the day of an event. The ticket office will open two hours before showtime. The ticket office at The BayCare Sound is located at South Gate 1. To purchase tickets in advance visit the Raymond James Central Ticket Office at Ruth Eckerd Hall.

  • The Murray Theatre Ticket Office opens one hour before showtime. To purchase tickets in advance visit The Raymond James Central Ticket Office at Ruth Eckerd Hall.

Ticket Donations

Weapons

Weapons are not allowed inside of all venues regardless of a permit or license. Guests will have the option to secure the prohibited item in their vehicle in order to be admitted. See Prohibited Items above for a complete list. 

Weather

All shows are rain or shine. In the event of severe weather during an event, please follow the safety directions given by venue staff. Updates will be posted on the venue's social media platforms

Will Call

To avoid lines, save time and reduce waste, we strongly encourage the use of mobile ticketing. Whether purchasing in person, over the phone or online, opt for electronic delivery. Please note: The BayCare Sound is a paperless venue. A valid email address is required for ticket delivery.

Tickets are available for pick up at Ruth Eckerd Hall's Raymond James Central Ticket Office during regular ticket office business hours Tuesday-Thursday & Saturday from 12pm-6pm, Friday 10am-6pm. Service at the venues begins two hours prior to show time (one hour at the Murray Theatre ticket window). You will need a valid photo ID matching the name of the tickets at will call. Valid tickets are required for all events before entering the building. Please pick up your tickets before entering the security line for expedited entry.
